This Sunglo heater utilizes radiant heat to warm people and objects, not the surrounding air, making it an ideal choice for open patio designs. This patio heater uses natural gas and operates at 50,000 BTUs per hour. The deep dish reflector broadcasts radiant heat over an area of up to 12 feet in diameter, depending on wind conditions. This freestanding heater comes in black and can be easily moved around on the patio, or completely removed when not needed. This heater features a safety pilot system which automatically shuts off the gas if the flame is lost. The Sunglo A242 has a battery operated, spark ignition system and a manual on/off control knob located at the front of the heater. No electrical connection is required, making this heater easy to maintain. A 24 inch clearance from combustibles around the sides of the heater is required for safe use.
